Q.WHAT IS VIRGIN HAIR?
A. The highest quality extensions. Virgin hair possesses the cuticle layer, which is the outermost part of the hair strand. All virgin hair has the cuticle layer of the hair flowing in the same direction, flowing the way it would naturally. The cuticle layer is important when concerned with hair tangling, longevity of the use and how well the hair shines. When the cuticle layer is intact and lying flat the hair is capable of reflecting light, so the hair shines.
Q. HOW LONG WILL THE HAIR LAST?
A. This hair can last for a very long time depending on how you maintain it. Treat it like your own hair and take very good care of it. Many clients prefer Brazilian or Indian hair extensions because it blends well with most African American hair types.
Q. WHAT IS A FRONTAL?
A. A frontal starts from one ear and ends at the other ear while covering the front of your entire hairline and is typically 13” long, and 4” wide made of silk or lace.
Q. WHAT IS A CLOSURE?
A. Closures are typically 4 x 4 inches and usually sit directly in the middle of the crown of your head. They can be altered moderately to the side to maintain a side-part style, middle part or parted anywhere depending on the type.
Q. WHY IS THE HAIR GETTING TANGLED?
A. Your hair extensions can tangle due to dryness, oil, dirt build-up, salt water, chlorine and not combing your hair out with a wide-tooth comb daily. Make sure to co-wash and condition your hair at least once a week, twice a week is better. Use hydrating drops or consult with your stylist for more help.
Q. WHAT PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE FOR MY HAIR?
A. Treat the hair extensions just as if it was your own hair. Use good quality sulfate and silicone-free shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keeping it soft and manageable. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave these products in for a long time.
Q. HOW MANY BUNDLES ARE NEEDED FOR A FULL WEAVE?
A: For a full weave install, 20 inches or shorter, we recommend 2-3 bundles. However, for styles longer than 20 inches, we recommend using 4-5 bundles to achieve a full look.
